The Practice
Grayston Alan Durtnell was founded in the early 1960’s by Prudence Durtnell, who was joined in 1976 by David Grayston and Harvey Alan. The three combined technical and design expertise with good local knowledge and attention to detail. Indeed Sir Winston Churchill would not be sitting on the Green at Westerham, had not the Practice firstly obtained planning permission and secondly designed a suitable plinth!
Following the retirement of the founding partners, Michael Mamalis took over as Principal of the Practice in 2000. With extensive experience gained across a broad range of sectors, Michael has continued to develop the Practice, which has a well deserved reputation for good design and cost-effective project management.
