Watstock Farm is a small family-run farm and self-catering holiday accommodation in The Weald of Kent, with fine views to the North Downs. The farm is mostly pasture, and has a flock of sheep, sometimes cattle and pigs. Each Easter the numbers are swelled by new lambs.
Both Chiddingstone National Trust Village and Penshurst are within 2 miles, Sevenoaks – 8 miles, Tonbridge – 8 miles, Royal Tunbridge Wells – 9 miles, East Grinstead – 8 miles. M25 Junctions 5 & 6 are respectively 9 and 10 miles. Hildenborough Station for central London (timetabled 40 mins) – 6 miles. Gatwick Airport is reached from Penshurst Station, 3 miles away, or is about 18 miles by road.
Both Barns are self catering holiday accommodation. Both have a 4 Star Rating under the VisitBritain Quality in Tourism scheme, and are rated under its Accessibility scheme as suitable for older & less mobile guests. The Barns are on ground level only, and have a 4.5cm step to their gardens.
Hay Barn sleeps up to 2 persons and Straw Barn takes up to 4. They share an entrance hall so can together accommodate a family of 5 or 6 without difficulty.
This area of West Kent is famous for its Tudor homes – Penshurst Place, Hever Castle, Knole Park & Ightham Mote – and for the Tudor street at Chiddingstone. Churchill’s home at Chartwell, Westerham, is within 6 miles and there are many other charming villages and attractions for visitors.
Nearby golf courses include Hever Castle, Villa Golf, Sweetwoods, Nizels, Knole Park, The Nevill & Tunbridge Wells.
It is also a popular area for walking. Watstock is on the Eden Valley Walk. Ashdown Forest is some 7 miles away.
You will have a wide choice of nearby restaurants and pubs, many supplying real ale from the local Larkins Brewery.
Children welcome, but we regret no animals. WiFi available.
