Shona’s Runners

A friendly, informal and supportive running group for women in the Sevenoaks area. Whether you’re a compete beginner or an experienced intermediate runner looking for some company to run with, you’re very welcome to join us.

The group is chatty, encouraging and supportive, and we have a laugh while we run. There’s no joining fee, and no need to book runs in advance – just come along when it suits you and pay £3.50 for your run. We are non-competitive recreational joggers, and you need never worry about being left behind or made to run at a pace you can’t manage. All our groups are small so that you don’t get lost in the crowd, and so you can get personal coaching advice as we run.

A wonderful caring and inspiring coach with many years of knowledge and experience under her belt. Shona has a particular gift with those that are new to running and/or very nervous about taking it up. Literally hundreds of girls have gone from non-runner to confident runner thanks to the support and encouragement that Shona has provided. Running can be great fun. She makes it fun and you will be in safe hands.

Running with Shona on a weds morning is one of the highlights of my week. The group is small and friendly. As I run I have a laugh, learn loads about others experiences , get advice and make friends….it’s brilliant fun. I enjoy the fact we usually stop for a coffee ( and more chat) afterwards. So, if you want to get fit and make wonderful friends, I can wholeheartedly recommend Shona’s Runners. I look forward to meeting you sometime soon

I am not sporty and I didn’t start running until I was nearly 50! 10 years later but with plenty of weeks and months when I couldn’t run and thought I’d give up I have found Shona’s small groups the most motivating. Shona is the best coach you could have to encourage you to enjoy the outside countryside and run well without being too competitive. She knows how to ensure you to reach your best and is always ready with advice and tips. So give up that extortionate gym membership and come and join us for a chat, run and make new friends, exchange experiences and learn all sorts of things. We’re a really diverse and interesting bunch – and I am not the oldest – there are plenty of young things too – we all just get on.

I started running with Shona about 3 years ago (Shona also runs the Up and Running group) and got hooked. Whether you are a beginner or not, if you need motivating, good company and excellent coaching advice, I highly recommend Shona! Its about more than running with Shona – its about enjoying yourself, achieving something really positive and having fun. And you get a runner’s bottom at the same time (apparently this is small and pert!!)
