St John’s is a parish founded and rooted in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, but we welcome anyone who wishes to worship with us and to be part of our parish community, whatever their tradition.
We are the parish church of the northern part of Sevenoaks and look to provide spiritual and pastoral care for those who live within our parish. We also provide a wider home, care and welcome for those who wish to worship with us from outside the parish.
At the centre of all we do is the following of Jesus’ command, “do this in remembrance of me”. The Mass, celebrated daily, is at the heart of all we do, as is the daily praying of the offices. The Sacraments of Baptism, Marriage, and the ministry of Funerals form an important part of our parochial life.
