Sevenoaks District Seniors Action Forum SDSAF

Free membership community organisation: a stronger voice for the 50+ age group on issues of concern to us.
We aim to identify those issues, and pursue them with authorities and service providers. Current campaigns are on transport to hospitals, and promoting public access defibrillators to help cardiac arrest victims.
We also share useful information, through our website and quarterly newsletter.
Anyone aged 50+ in Sevenoaks District is welcome to join: it’s free, and does not commit you to anything. The more members our Forum has, the louder our voice – and the politicians listen, because they know we vote.

Supported by KCC, SDC, Age UK, West Kent, VAWK.

Our voluntary independent community group:

 * Campaigns on issues of concern to its membership.

* Makes formal representations to and consultations with local authorities and other organisations.

* Promotes health related issues as a top priority, including access to hospitals and other services.

* Helps promote deployment of and information about public access defibrillators: seven provided to parishes.

* Organises talks and other meetings for members on relevant topics.

* Communicates by hardcopy Newsletter and other direct mail, and by social media, namely the Website, Facebook and Twitter.

Target group: * Over 50s resident in Sevenoaks District
