Our aim is to improve later life for everyone and to make it a fulfilling and enjoyable experience by offering a range of services to older people in the community.
Age UK Sevenoaks & Tonbridge is a charity aimed at improving welfare amongst older people through its products and services in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and the surrounding communities.
We run day care centres in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Edenbridge. The centres provide the opportunity for a hot meal, companionship, and access to services aimed at improving the quality of later life.
The charity runs an Independent Living Support Service which enables older people to remain in their homes for longer. This is done through the provision of assistance with, amongst other things, cleaning, shopping and gardening.
We are also an active promoter of digital inclusion amongst older people, and run computer lessons from our Sevenoaks and Tonbridge offices.
We can help with Information & Advice and queries relating to help housing, pension credits, attendance & carer’s allowances. We have an advocacy service where we can represent your views to others and help to access information you need to make your own choices. Our most recent service, Community Befriending helps those who are socially isolated and lonely, we can help match one of our suitable volunteers who offer their time to visit our older people who otherwise may not see anyone for weeks at a time.
