The Plough is nestled in the picturesque village of Ivy Hatch just a short walk from Ightham Mote Britain’s best preserved medieval house. The Plough itself is 230 years old and has a bar area, conservatory and small private dining room all of which have been recently renovated. There is a dining terrace to the front of the building and gardens to the rear surrounded by the local cobnut trees.
The Plough’s British and European influenced menu offers a selection of dishes to suit all tastes and pocket sizes. The driving passion of Miles and the team is to source the best locally produced farm products and deliver them into classic dishes. The menu is updated daily, with new seasonal ingredients arriving each week there is always something new on the menu. All dishes are created on site with no frozen or pre made items being brought in. Children are welcome and may choose smaller portions from the main menu.
The Plough also offers full table service to restaurant customers, but without the service charge, tips being entirely discretionary and shared equally between serving staff.
