Paul, Jackie and our chef, Rob offer a warm welcome to our lovely picturesque, traditional English pub, nestled between Royal Tunbridge Wells and Penshurst, in the small village of Fordcombe.
We specialise in honest, home-cooked food and have built up a reputation, over the 8 years that we have been here, for consistently good food. We have this saying to diners, that the only thing not made on the premises is the ice-cream.
Our separate Public Bar is just the right place to bring along your well behaved dogs, so that you can enjoy a meal without leaving your pooch at home, Charlie, our own black Labrador, looks forward to meeting all new and old friends. There are many good walks around here, including the famous Weald Way, to work up an appetite.
Our bars and restaurant all have wood burning stoves, roaring away during the winter months to keep you warm. What could be better than sitting near one of the stoves enjoying one of our hearty pies?
Our large well kept garden is the only place to be during the warmer weather, we have great views across the weald, and, although we get busy in the garden, there are enough tables for everyone, without that feeling of overcrowding.
