We are delighted to have Mark Sargeant on board as Chef Director for our restaurant. Kent born Mark shares our passion for fresh quality food and the finest ingredients, which we source locally and from our own kitchen garden.

Appointed head chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Claridges in 2001, Mark gained a Michelin star and the title of Chef of the Year. Over 13 years with Gordon Ramsay, Mark instigated the opening of Ramsay’s four new pubs, co-authored 12 books and has written columns for BBC Good Food and The Times.

Our menu is full of superfoods making it the most nutritious food you can eat. Who knew food this delicious could taste this good.

Over indulged? Don’t worry, you are in the perfect place to offset any extravagances.

Private bookings and parties are welcome. We can cater for up to 30 in our Waterleaf dining suite, up to 10 at our chefs table or larger parties in the lounge, restaurant and terrace, contact us for more details.

A cosy private dining room, sponsored by Laurent Perrier Champagne, is available for up to 10 guests.

With an elegant open fireplace and views directly into the kitchen so you can soak up the exciting atmosphere.

Set tasting menus for up to 7 courses are available for this amazing experience.

Waterleaf Lounge and Terrace
Enjoy an aperitif in the exquisite surroundings of our cosy lounge with open fires. Alternatively, you may choose to absorb the beautiful surroundings of our little piece of Kent, ‘The Garden of England’, on our enchanting open-air terrace.

What could be more perfect than to while away the twilight hours on our terrace, whilst dining or simply enjoying a glass of fine wine or champagne.

Fancy something healthier? Try one of our fresh fruit superfood smoothies and add extra shots of superfood goodness if you really want to really ramp up your well being!

Where best to complete a perfect Kentish afternoon in the country, than on The Retreat terrace with a traditional or contemporary* afternoon tea.

Delicious delights await you. Choose from a selection of delicate desserts, simple sandwiches served on fresh bread and teas to tempt and treat you.

We offer a traditional English afternoon tea, or you can opt for our contemporary version (*just add Champagne).
